How we approach the work
Most software fails for reasons that have nothing to do with code quality. Our process is built around catching those reasons early — while they're still cheap to fix.
Start with the problem, not the product
We look for a felt, recurring friction that people already work around today. If nobody has a workaround, there usually isn't a problem worth building for.
Build the smallest honest version
Not a mockup and not a landing page — a real, functioning product that a stranger can use without us standing next to them explaining it.
Put it in front of real users
Distribution and feedback come before polish. Early signal is worth more than a refined interface nobody has touched.
Follow the evidence — either way
Strong signal means we double down and build it out. Weak signal means we stop and move on. Both outcomes are treated as a successful cycle.

Northstar Operations is an independent software company based in Kochi, Kerala, India. Founded in 2026, it operates as a registered sole proprietorship. Its current product is iiiiii — a brain for all your businesses, currently in testing and running on Claude.
Our products are built as subscription software for individual professionals and small teams. We build with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, and iiiiii's strategy features run directly on the Claude API.
Working this way means treating product ideas as hypotheses rather than commitments. Each one gets real engineering effort, real users, and a real verdict. The company's long-term aim is straightforward: find the small number of products that genuinely earn their place, then give them the resources to grow.
